
Janet Morrison was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1978 and is presently a partner in the firm of Hart Muirhead Fatta. A graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School, she also holds a Masters Degree in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of the West Indies.
As an independent director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange she is also a member of its Executive Committee, the Regulatory & Market Oversight Committee and the chair of its Corporate Governance & Nomination Committee. Recently appointed to the General Legal Council, Janet is also a member of the Jamaican Bar Association (JBA) and serves as chair of its Arbitration law subcommittee.
She is a commissioner of the Labour Market Reform Commission of Jamaica and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
